Default soft brakes

I have a 92 rs m/t with 128000 miles. When ever I come to a hard stop my brakes go soft. I replaced all the pads but still have the same problem.
and its only at a hard stop. Where else should i look to trobleshoot .

"my brakes go soft"

does this mean the feel of the pedal or the stopping power?

if your fluid levels are good (and no master cylinder leaks), no air in the lines, and the pedal is still getting soft. i'd looking into replacing your brake booster.

same thing happened to me, pretty soon your pedal is going to go to the floor when you're stopped. it turned out to be my brake master cylinder, whats happening is there is fluid leaking past the seals on the piston in the MC, therefore causing it to become "soft." replace the MC and see what happens.

Check for air in the lines first though!
