1990 civic si burning oil when revved to 5000rpm...

Default 1990 civic si burning oil when revved to 5000rpm...

at that rpm alot of blue smoke comes out the tailpipe. especially when the clutch is pressed in. what would cause this?

The only things I can think of are worn valve guide seals, or oil is getting past your rings.

Most likely the rings are shot. Valve seals leaking make the engine burn oil on startup.
