H22 in '92-'95 Civic HB?
Yeah it can be done. Your acceleration will be killer.... until you try to turn a corner. have you ever driven a bike with someone hanging off the handle bars. it's the same effect when you put a heavier engine in the car. You mess up the balance...
Hmm, how much extra weight approx. do you think that'd add w/ basic mods, and would taking things such as AC out, as well as swapping for carbon fiber help ease the majority of the weight up front to help maintain a decent balance?
Alright, and one more question... this guy says he has a D16Z6 engine in his '94 Civic HB (EX) and has the following: HKS super sequential blow off valve, 38mm external wastegate, turbo is an ar 50/70 with garret internals, it is a T3/T4 hybrid, T304 stainless header, short throw shifter, aftermarket headlights, carbon fiber hood, complete header back oex racing stainless exhaust, and puts out an estimated 300 hp? Would that be right or he is just claiming bigger numbers to try and impress?
Thanks!

i doubt the guy is making 300 horse, and dont listen to the h22 haters. they are just uneducated. it weighs like 50 pounds more, just get some stiffer springs and lighten up the front a little and your fine. its a good motor w/ lots of torque and power. its a bit of a squeeze into the engine bay, but it fits fine.
also.. theres tons of topics on the h22 already.

Matter of fact, here it is. There's a link to a Honda-tech forum where some guy actually weighed a couple different engines and presented the results.

More than the weight, it seems like the consensus is that the biggest factor in doing this swap is the complexity and making sure the car is balanced (weight wise). The suspension has to be set up properly afterwards.
Personally, if I had buckets of money, a ton of time, and a second car, I'd love to drop an H22 in my EX.

Sounds good.
