Default Fuel pump install

Well, all parts are bought for the turbo setup, ok mabye like 1 more to go. BUT the fuel pump came in and id like to install it now. the weather is decent and i want to do it out side and not in my garage(fumes, high, spark, boom). anyways. can I do the fuel pump install now and still drive around for like 2 more weeks b4 i put the car away. Its the walbro 255LPH pump. so everything will be the same, BUT the new pump. i know where and how to do it. BUT will this hurt the motor in any way? Thanks guys

In a word: No.

You'll just have more fuel pressure when you floor the pedal.

He won't have more pressure. The pressure is still controlled by the fuel pressure regulator...he'll be flowing more volume.

No. As long as your fuel pressure regulator is in good working order, you won't notice any difference. The extra fuel will just be returned through the fuel pressure regulator.

The stock FPR should be plenty sufficient for your future setup.

You really don't need an adjustable one unless your injectors are too small and to compensate, you increase the fuel pressure.

i'd get a fuel pressure gauge. my friend just went turbo but before he put the turbo on he put his walbro 255 on and left his stock fpr and when he installed the guage it was reading that his fuel pressure was at 55psi instead of 40psi.

Then his FPR wasn't functioning properly.
