what should i do???
I just got a 98 gsr and it was stolen striped and the guy i got the car from put a ls/vtec in it. I have had some problems with it. When I take it up to 5000rpm it idles at 2200rpm and sometimes it goes up and down from 3000 to 1000. Another thing is sometimes when i let out the clutch it squeals. I was told it could be my throw out bearing or the clutch but the guy told me it has a new ACT clutch in it. It also burn oil really bad, But other than that the car drives fine I drove it 1500miles when i got it and went fine. Should i just get the clutch fixed or look into to getting a swap??

Also, you should have had this car checked out by your mechanic, or at least a reputable one, regardless of your knowledge (if you have any) You seriously have some issues with this car by the sounds of it.
if it was stripped and stolen how can you even put this car on the road w/o a title......or are you saying you bought a gsr and then it was stripped and stolen and then you got it back. I REALLY HOPE YOU DIDNT BUY A STOLEN CAR. there only good for parts
forgot about the stolen part the car has a clean tittle that part is all good. I got the car off the internet:doh:   . I KNOW im a retard, but all im asking is if i should pay for the clutch to get fixed or just save a get a swap?
I would take the car to a mechanic and see what exactly is wrong with the engine before you write it off.. A lot of times ls/vtecs are just slapped together by an inexperienced backyard mechanic and it may be a fairly simple fix.
