Default 95 integra reving/slipping

hello,

THe car has 186k with a 5 spd man. Upon acceleration it seems the slip in each gear unitl desired speed is reached. This is a occasional issue, so anyone else have this problem? What are the future consequences?

Sounds like your clutch is slipping to me. Are you launching when this happens?

Its intermittent for now, but I promise you, it'll get a lot worse soon. If I were you, I'd just go ahead and replace it, you can't really "tweak" a clutch like that.

replace the clutch, you don't want to have to have the flywheel machined....it will be intermittent for a while and then it will get worse.

Is that what'll happen if I keep running my clutch? It slips like crazy and has been for a long time.

well u can machine ur flywheel... but im assuming ur clutch hasn't been replaced in a while... it's HIGHLY suggested to get a new clutch before u end up getting fucked over with no clutch on the freeway. if the clutch is having trouble disengaging, soon enough it won't engage/disengage at all... and then u couldn't even drive it to the shop to get ur clutch in

I'm waiting until it gets so bad that I can't drive up the hill to my house in 4th gear. Or go faster than 55 on the freeway. It's quite bad right now.

Will this damage the fly wheel and exponentially cause me grief if I keep letting it go?
