Default Need help with installing rear coilovers

I am installing some Buddy Club N+ coilovers on my 94 ls coupe, and everything was going fine until i got to the rear of the car. I have two problems, one is that the fork on the bottom of the strut won't fit over the lca and second there is no nut welded onto the bottom of these struts like on the stock ones. I assume i just need to buy some nuts, but i just wanted to see what you guys thought. also a friend suggested i should do a little grinding on the lca to make it fit together.

What do you mean it doesn't fit over the LCA? Is it too narrow to fit on the bushing?

Are you sure that it is the right part number? How much clearance do you need to get it on the bushing?

For the bolt, find a strong self-locking nut and do it that way.

As far as I can tell I have the right parts, the box says eg/ek/dc and then everything else including the manual is in japanese. i would say i need anywhere from 2-6mm more clearance. I didnt think these would be a force fit deal.

one thing you might wanna try is this...I know the three LCA bushings aren't exactly the same length, but are all the same diameter, so measure the distance between the fork ends of the coilover and go to a place that would sell the bushings, and look for the end bushing...the one that attaches the LCA to the chassis. See if that would work...i know I had to replace my shock mount bushing on one of my LCAs and initially the parts store got me the wrong part...they gave me the inner LCA bushing, which would have fit into the hole, but it would have been probably 2-3mm too short for the stock suspension fork.

..might wanna try that before griding away at your brand new coilover kit.

hope this helps some!

thanks for the advice, but i wasnt going to grind the coilover itself, but rather the bushing on the lca

I am a dumbass, i was just looking at the box and you can switch these inserts on the bottom of the coilovers so they will fit different cars. h:

thanks for the help though.
