Cam gear tuning

Default Cam gear tuning

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX, and I am puting my after market AEM cam gear on. The gear has ajustments and I am tring to find out where I should set the advancements at? or what works well?

Stock. I'm assuming you have a stock cam, which will work best with stock cam timing.

The Cam gear is after market, and has ajustments.

Yes, but your cam is stock, and is adjusted from the factory.

Plus it's a SOHC, which means that cam timing is far less important than on a DOHC.
