Please.. lets try this again
B18C1 swap with B18C type R........
My car is taking a dump... I think I'm burning oil, and my compression is around, 143-122-124-144. So instead of doing work on my exsisting engine, I thought I'd look into an egine swap.
As of right now I have a 95 RS Acura Integra, automatic, with 110,000 miles on the engine. The trans was rebuilt at around 100,000. The orginal owner did not take care of it. And unfortunatly I was il-trained in Acura Integras, to notice small problems. (now I know) I resufaced my block, put in new seals.. and found a small stress fracture on the outside of my block, but its not big enough to where it leaks oil. Anway, water pump, radiator, heater lines, everything was fixed. And now I think im burning oil, have low compression (new stock 190?), and car stutters in no rythm when Im idleing. SO ( yeah I know alot about my car NOW) im looking into a new engine.
There are two engines Im looking into, ether an LS-Vetec, or a Type R. What do you think would work best for my car...

I know a few things, but what other things would i need to get if I got one of the engines...
Heres what I think i know... A type R engine will need a stronger drive shaft? And Im not too sure if I can make an auto type R, wich means I would needs a manual trans, clutch, fly wheel, the whole thing. With the GSR I know that they can lag a lil bit, but I think its pretty close to my RS engine, then the type R would be.. meaning the GSR/LS-Vtec would not take as much money to make work as the type R. Stop me if Im wrong.
Bottom line I'd rather spend the money (if I can) for a lil better engine then buy a stock RS engine for around the same price.
Flame me if you will,
I've just been really following posts in the forum, and just really like this one. Thanks in advance.

b18c1= getting more expensive and rare from everyone snatching them up
b18c5= expensive as it is and i believe there is a axel hub problem with swapping this one into other cars as well
b18b= what you have.. with the money you would spend on a b18c5 swap, you could get another one of these motors and run it on a decent turbo setup and probaly get better numbers..
obviously if its taking a shit at 110k miles

So look into a B18C,with/without VTEC?
If I got a B18C what things would I need to look into for converting from an auto to a 5 speed? Or is there a post I can be directed to?

im sure there is plenty of threads about auto-manny swaps but for starters youd need the tranny, ecu from a 5spd integra gsr, shift linkage, gearbox, some interior parts, shifter, and probaly other thing that i missed..
