can you copy DVD for the Navigation System?

can you copy DVD for the Navigation System?

Can any one tell me if you can burn the dvd that is in the navigation system? Has anyone tried it? I just got a 02 TL Type S and i want the new DVD version... but dont really want to pay the $$$$...

Any info would be helpful!!

Just try it, make sure you rip it with a good software and dont use compression. If it requires a dual layer disk, use a dl disk.

Yes, you can. DL Disk and use a high-quality disc as the DVD player is friggin picky.

It can be done, but if using the update disc they have to match the factory disc.(usually by color of disc or version)

For the newer maps a Dual Layer disc is needed.
