Default Anyone ever used non-wheel paint to paint their rims?

I'm gonna paint my rims black w/ polished lip, and I was ready to use Satin Black Wheel paint until I painted my grill with a different paint called Rustoleum Metallic Black.
Anyway, I loooved how the grill came out. The Metallic black gave a very nice "slight sparkle shine" (cause I hate shiny chrome anything) that makes it look better than regular paint.
I was wondering if anyone ever used this type of paint or something similar to paint their rims and how that turned out?

Yeah. I've used paint like that before. The important thing is that you put a good clearcoat over the paint. That way whenever you get chips it'll be in the clear and not in the paint.
