Default Owners of '04 or '05 TL come in...

Right now, the TL & G35c are my top 2 choices for my next daily driver.
I have driven both & liked them.

I'm looking to see if there are any common problems w/this car & if so, what?

Is doing simple things like changing plugs, wires, fuel filter & oil a PITA or easy on them?

Anything I should look for in these cars that you don't normally look for in other cars?

Any info is appreciated, thanks.

the opinion I have to offer on this subject is that the G35 coupe and the TL are very different cars. The G35 is much more of a sportscar. There is not nearly as much room in the passenger seat or in the back, but it is faster and should handle at least equivalently. RWD with an engine like the G35's can be "interesting" to say the least, if you are not used to RWD. Since you avatar indicates that you are accustomed to a mustang, the G35's feel may be more to your liking long-term. The FWD of the TL drives a little bit diferently, although I think you'll find it more than satisfactory long-term. As far as problems and maintenance go, FWD and RWD cars are inherently different in these areas. Your sig says you have both types, so you already know that . Acura has been having tranny problems lately, but they are more than happy to fix them for you. Nissan and Honda are both well-known for reliability and ease of care. Myself, I am about to drop $600 for my 45k mile service on an '02 TL... I probably would have chosen the G35, if not for the fact that at 6'6", I don't fit in any seat but the driver's one. I'm more than comfortable riding passenger in the TL if I have had a few drinks and my wife must pilot

of course I know that you are aware of the differences... I was only mentioning it for the benefit of other readers. Anyway, the 45k mile service hasn't been done yet, but it includes new filters and fluids all around, the coolant system and brakes get flushed and inspected, with the new fluids come additives to recondition seals, and they clean, inspect, and test every mechanical part on the car, replacing or repairing as necessary. Since Acura cars come with a 4-year, 50k mile warranty, this is a good opportunity to have it gone over by the dealership, rather than waiting to notice or find something on your own. If I had my owner's manual handy, I'd list out everything individually, but I think you get the idea.

Ah so another one of the dealer scams/ Most things that don't need to be done at that time if you've taken care of the car.

Default '03+ Accord EX V6 Coupe vs '04 + TL?

I have driven both. Not looking to start a pissing contest. I know they are different cars.

I'm just wondering how some of you would compare the handling to each other. If you haven't driven both cars please don't bother.

There is about $10k in price difference for these cars used so this is why I ask. If the drop off to the Accord is not too much, I may as well go w/that instead of the TL. I'm not rich. :bigok:

hehe yeah you're right... but since I just bought it, I think I'm gonna go ahead and drop the $600. It seems to have been cared for well, but looks can be deceiving. It does suck to put a grand down on a vehicle, only to find out that I've got another big sum due to Acura within the first couple of months. I wish I had the foresight to make the dealer agree to pay for the 45k service before I bought it

I went back & drove the Accord some more last night & after driving 3 TLs & now 4 Accords it's obvious that these cars are VERY similar.

Here's what I gathered the TL has over the loaded Accord

Better brakes on the M6
Bluetooth (useless to me)
Manual shift in the auto
HIDs
30 more hp
Memory for seat
Better looking gauge cluster
Aluminum trim inside
Handles a little better

I probably forgot 1 or 2 things.

I'm still not sure which car I want to go with...

Aren't you posting the same thing in the Accord TSX forum?
