Default RSX-S and the G35 Coupe

Yesterday I finally got a chance to test drive the two cars I am considering for purchase: the RSX Type S and the G35. I know they are completely different cars and not even in the same category but these are my choices.

Both cars have their strengths.

The RSX sounds really demented, very high strung. The car does not sound “stock”, it sounds like it has aftermarket intake and exhaust. I have experience with many Hondas but this one just sounds and feels pretty good/fast. The build quality seems ok, the interior does not feel as solid as my 6th Gen. Accord but overall I think its ok. The trans is good, very smooth, what I expect from Honda. But I can get over the growl of the engine, not sure if it would annoy me after time, it is just loud..even when you are not “flooring” it.

Then I drove the G35, I know these are “way different” but they are what I am considering.

The G35 has a lot of power ( I drove the auto, that is what I would get) but it does not feel tremendously faster than the RSX. It has way more torque but to me it didn’t feel like it would beat the RSX by that much. The finish of the car is good, not excellent, but good. The interior feels a little cheap, which I did not expect in this car.

As for my choice, still undecided. I can but the RSX and still have cash to mod it a little, maybe fancy stereo, springs, etc…just some regular mods…or I can get G35 and leave stock. It would make for a better daily driver since I can get auto…I know I know about auto and stick, stick is better for performance but I live in Los Angeles and the traffic kills, especially on the hour commute (each way) to work.

Anyone have any other experience with these two cars?

personally....I think this is a retarded question to answer.

Since you need a vehicle for daily driving and dont want to deal with driving a manual than you have no other choice then to select the G35. Or you could go with another automatic car.

The g35 will tear that RSx up... Even if it is automatic.

id go with whats more comfortable if i lived in LA... but heres some 0-60 times, and 1/4 mile times from a (googled) site. They claim their numbers to be from magazines such as car and driver, road and track etc.. and yes im aware they dont mention transmission, but its a ballpark.

I like both, but I would choose the G35. It's really nice looking inside and outside and like the man said, it's faster

if u thinking of the g35 then u need to think of the nissa coupe. u know which car i am talking about it will whipp asses. the rsx type s with the body kit and wing and nice rims drop looks wayyyy too hot for both cars . my friend has a 2002 type s navy blue drop with beautiful wheels and body kit and only 7k original miles. he works 24/7 and walks to work so he only warm up the car everyday. again if u want more power and better looks then u go with the nissan. I would pick the rsx for myself personally.

I bought an RSX-S 3 months ago, and if I could have afforded it I would have bought an Infiniti G35C 6MT in a heartbeat. Those are just sexy cars. Lots of power, nice luxury, and probably the best-looking car under $35k on the road today.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the RSX. I really love this car. Good seats, nice looks, decent interior, good handling and very good speed for a 4-banger. But if I could have afforded the extra $10k I would have gone with the G35.
