amp/subs with stock head unit?

I wanna put a sub with an amp in my car.... will it work with a stock head unit? thanks

It will work, but you'll need to buy a 'line-level converter' (there's other names for it too) in order to hook it up to your stock deck. The converter is only like 20 bucks if that..so cheaper than buying a new deck- good luck
