Default Difference between obd2a and obd2b Conversion Harness? How to tell

How can I tell if this person sent me the right ecu conversion harness my car is a 99 teg which is obd2a i want to make sure i got the right conversion harness. Please include pics if possible. Thanks

Most of the wires will be way off if it is OBD2b as opposed to OBD2a.

i figured theyd be off but i dont wanna open the bag with the harness inside how can i tell visually so if its obd2b i can send it back w/o opening it (might not take it back if he thinks its been fucked wit)

Did you try plugging it in, it won't plug in if it's the wrong OBD generation.
