Default '00 civic SI turbo question

i've recently been looking into getting a turbo kit for my car...my friend has a JDM that he's selling for what seems extremely cheap...i have a few questions though...what price range would i be looking at for a more or less brand new JDM turbo(to make sure the price he offered to sell it for is a decent price )...and i've been told that if i would get the turbo, it would be a good idea to replace my cams as well...is this true? or would my stock cams be sufficient? and last question is...is there any other parts i might wanna consider replacing to make sure everything goes smoothly?

thanks for the help in advance

JDM turbo? :lmfao:

Just because it is JDM, doesn't mean it is any good. Is there a brand or anything that would help you identify it better than "JDM"?

Keep the cams that you currently have.

Research some more because it is obvious that you need some more information before you do this. The search button is your friend.

You will need a whole heck of a lot more than just a turbo to install it and make it work with your car. Read a LOT before purchasing a nonBolt-on turbo. :goodjob:

Don't you need special JDM tools to install a JDM turbo? :dunno:
