Default 1999 TL questions

I was wondering is it possible to put the newer tail lights on my car with the clear signals. Im not sure what year it is when it came out. Is it the 02 or the 03-04 models? Anyways I want to do the swap and want to know if that is possible? Also looking into buying a factory wing for the car. Anyone know of a place I can purchase one?
Thanks,
Johnny

Procarparts.com has the red/clear '02+ style tail lamps you're looking for. As for the wing, I'd do a search on google....OEM is expensive, although they come painted. If you want a price quote on the wing let me know.

Im definetly interested in the wing. I like the way the factory style looks. Is there any other kind of wings out there that look nice on the car? I just got one so dont know who makes what for it yet. So can you get the tail lights too?

So what about the front bumpers? Are they universal as well? It doesnt appear possible since the newer style looks more pointed up front. But thats my guess. Is this true?

No, the front bumper will not fit. You will need to get ALOT of parts including new headlights, hood, fenders....basically a whole new front end. Not worth it.

Thanks, I was figuring that it wasnt going to be worth the time and money. I have one more question but now that I see all these transmission recalls Im second guessing it but curious anyways. I was curious on buying a 02 TL transmission for cheap. But are they universal with the 99? Is it a straight bolt on?

And what exactly is this recall on the Transmissions?

The 99 is different than the other TLs because it is a 4 speed instead of 5 speed. So no, it won't bolt-on easily.

Are you sure? I was told it would bolt on. But I would have to get a new gauge cluster, shifter assembly and etc. More headache than anything so I decided not to.

Anyone know of any good places where I can get a set of 03 rims, 00-03 Navi Unit, 03 Taillight?
