Default rod Bearing

I think im going to get a LS motor but the problem is it has a bad rod bearing and i want to put the motor in my civic hatch. But how hard would it be to replace the rod bearing. Thanks.

If it spun, you will probably need to remove the crank and get it either micropolished where it spun or replace it. Then you will have to size out new bearings since the clearances change.

if you know it has a bad bearing already, then the others must not be in the best shape as well. look into rebuilding it or dont get it at all. Not worth putting in there just to band aid a problem..

I totally agree. Unless you are fully rebuilding the engine, don't drop it in. Replace everything and make sure it is all up to spec when it is out of the car instead of down the road when you have to pull it to rebuild it because it spun another bearing.
