Poor Poor Volkswagen
After a year and a half of being able to sit in the garage during her time off of the road, she has now been forced outside to sleep, where she will promptly get drenched with rain, beaten with sun, and frozen on occasion.
In other words, I moved the car out of the garage, now it's parked in the driveway.

Did your woman get a new car or something? Turn the garage into something else than what it was designed for?

I put a Bowflex in the garage. It was in doors but I felt cramped while working out and that just pissed me off more than anything.
The second half of the garage is filled with *crap* so I don't have room for both.
It's a sad day I tell ya.

I've only been working on it since Sunday night, and Monday was my first real workout.
To be honest, I love the thing. At first I was kind of so-so, because you have to modify the natural way you workout. For instance, a regular flat-bench isn't done on a flat-bench, it's done more like an incline bench but you just use slightly different form to mimic the same movement of a flat-bench.
I got a really good burn yesterday from a quick workout on my chest/tri's, and today I feel it as well, so I know it's working at least.
The good thing about the Bowflex is the ability to lift to failure, without worrying about dropping a bar and weight on your face. So if you want to build bulk and power, while it's not *as* good as free weights, it's also a lot safer -- especially if you're like me and have no friends who want to work out so you have no spotter.
It's also got a booklet of like 5-8 different workout routines, complete with how many sets and reps -- and you can modify them a little bit to suit your needs better if you like; I'm trying one of them today, and if it turns out that I like this better, I'll stick with it.
I'll post before and after pics, after about 2 months of working out.
Summary:
Yes, it's great and I highly recommend one.
