how to rebuild cv axle
I recently just did my passengers side axle and it was $57. Go buy a rebuilt one and be done with it. It really was like $123 and then you get $60 back when you turn the core in. Also. you'll probably have to rent the tie rod end seperator from autozone. They charge $16 to rent it when you pick it up then when you bring it back they give you the $16 back. Look for the service manual online. Its out there on a honda website. The best instructions I had were from that. The haynes manual sucks.
Exactly as posted above. The only time i do anything with my cv joint is if the boots broken and it has not started popping. I repack it with grease and replace the boot. If it's popping already, get another whole cv joint. Also, you don't need that tie rod end seperator if you do it like i do. Whack it with a heavy mallet or huge hammer, and it seperates every time.
