Default Fouled plugs and clogged CAT?

kind of rhetorical question here.
I am going thru spark plugs like nobody's business lately, the engine is not running rich right now, although it was for the last 6 months. Since i fixed my FPR problem and changed my plugs its been at 100% for a few weeks, but now it started missing again so again i changed plugs...Runs great again.
Now i figure at this point could it be my cat? I have a Straight pipe sittin here that i am waiting to install for b20vtec.com dyno day in early Feb.

Anyone have an opinion here, the plugs arent really dark like its runnin rich, they just look fouled.

PS - The CAT has at LEAST 120k miles on it. 30k miles when i had the H23a1 motor, and 91k miles on my h22a1 since i rebuilt and swapped it in.

Have you considered that your ignition wires may be bad? Maybe they get loose and you pull them off to change plugs and then push them back into place when you reinstall plugs. Something to consider checking.

actually they are new as of last month when i changed plugs the first time. I also spent 200+ on a brand new dissy just to make sure. but everytime i change the plugs the car runs and pulls awesome all the way to 8000. after 2 weeks it starts to miss again and again i change plugs out for BOSCH PLATINUM and again it runs great for about 10-14 days.

Are you losing any fluids at all? If so, you may be burning them off. Try the test pipe out and see if that fixes it... it's all trial and error at this point from the sounds of it.

yea i lose some oil lately, i think running rich for so long pushed alot of carbon into my stem seals, because it does blow some smoke in VTEC as in 5k to 8k RPM now. It never used to use more than about .5 to 1.0 Qt's between changes (did this since rebuild and no smoke so i always assumed it was the FRM).
The thing is that it doesnt smoke at idle or at all below like 6k rpms it starts to blow a lil smoke out (according to my friends who i asked to trail me to test this theory).
i dont think its enough to foul plugs tho and its only when i redline it.
ill change the cat once it stops snowing and hit the dyno to get my cams adjusted then we will know for sure...im considering pulling the head and sending it for a 3 angle job anyway just because im anal like that.
