I think i have a great idea??
ok, my buddy just sold me a b18b for 150 with out the head and tranny. So now I want a b16 head and tranny for it. Ive had a hard time locating the tranny, and i havent really found to many hot deals on the head. so heres my idea.
this same guy will sell me a complete b16a sir 1 for 700. I was thinkin just buy the whole swap get the head and tranny for 700 bucks and then sell whats left over. sound good?
now my only concern is that i want a hydro tranny and a b16a3 head for the 4v per cylinder. So i just struck out on both needs. I want to know what you guys have to say. suggestions please.

Um, all B16 heads are 4 valves per cylinder
That can't be true....
Type R's have 16 valves, and you can put them on an sir-1 (I did), you'd never be able to do that if there was a different number of valves on there. A b16 exhaust cam has 3 lobes...
low, med and high
the low and med control the two exhaust valves independiently during every day driving, then the high one controls them both during vtec.

I think the VTEC-E VX head has 3 valves per cylinder, but yah, that was a while back.
