Default Spark plugs and wires

I haven't seen this discussed yet so here it goes. I have read that the all copper NGK plugs are supposed to increase power on a gsr like 2-3 horsepower due to their higher conductivity over the platinum plugs that are stock. Has anyone else heard this or has experience with this. I know the platinums are more a point of durability then power production. i really dont mind changing my plugs every year if it makes more power. Also any good plug wire sets?

Ya, i heard bout this too. I've been using copper plugs now for a while and didn't really see any increase when i first used em. I just buy em cuz they're cheaper, but they have to be replaced more often than platinum, so it works out to the same price basically with all the times you replace them. Even if there was a 2-3 hp increase..it wouldn't be noticeable..especially in a GSR.

I would go for OEM Spark plugs IMO

As said, I'd stick with OEM NGK copper's. For wires, NGK blue's work really well.

As some of you may know my GSR is currently being overhauled to pass emissions. Factory specs for plugs in a GSR are NGK Platinums and I've been told that this is how it should be for that particular motor, so that is what I use.

I've heard of guys in Miatas doing tests, and finding copper gives something like a 2whp advantage, but you also have to change them out more frequently...

I use NGK plugs, and I believe OEM wires are best for NA

i have never heard of the coppers givin u higher horse....generally speaking the platinum plugs are the ones that have better spark and conductivity...thats usually the benefit featurs of upgrading to a platinum or iridium....

Nope... the benefit of switching to those is higher temperature resistance and a more corrosive resistant conductor. Copper is a much better conductor than those.
