Default 2500 RPM Noise

I notice when my GSR hits 2500 RPM when I let off the gas and the car is revving down it always makes this strange humming noise. Does't really matter what the gear is. Anyone else have this happeneing. Cars got about 90,00 on it.

Thanks

Ya I tried tightening that down the best I could. It rattles real bad after a while if I don't keep tightening it but I was thinking this noise was something different. Maybe you are right.

Also can I just take this heat shield off if Im not parking on dry grass?

I would just remove it, that's what most people do.

It could be a faulty exhaust manifold. I bought a DC sports header because of that noise. It turned out that the welds in the stock log were cracked.

I got a similar issue. I have an automatic but when reving up and the down in low gear I hear a metal grinding noise when letting go of the gas. Dealer is supposed to look at it soon. People suggested a bad torque converter...so will see..

I only got 48K on mine

Another common problem.

If its an aftermarket exhaust, it may be your b-pipe. I had to replace my b-pipe on my comptech cat-back, and noise stopped.
