Default Honda Prelude (H22A engine swap) to a Acura Integra 91

a quick questing,

is it doable to swap a Honda Prelude SH engine(H22A Vtec) in a Acura Integra 91 using the acura integra 94+ (newer bodies) mounts?

acura integra 94(b18 to h22A) swap engine mounts.

im just wondering if there is any difference between the body of the engine bay in a integra 91, to 94? that will not let the mounts sit properly, i.e smaller compartment? etc...

90-93 integra, b18 engine

94-01 integra, b18 (same engine, but im not sure about the engine bay)

There are some differences between the DA*(89-93) Integra chassis and the DC/DB Integra chassis. But swapping to an H-series, while possible, really isn't necessary.

Swapping in an H will mean going without power steering and AC, if memory serves. And furthermore, the swap itself will be quite expensive, as the H-series has been out of production since early 2001. The B18A under your hood right now can be built up to produce more power than a stock H22 for less than the cost of a swap.

In a word, turbocharging.

Welcome to HAN, by the way. Enjoy your stay with us.

I'm moving this thread to our Hybrid Forum, where these projects are discussed.
Another forum you oughta check out is our Engine Tech Forum for additional resources if you decide to go through with the swap.

haha, sry :-P

the engine right now is useless and im looking for a more "livelier" engine, u would loose ur power steering? O.o

the chassiss diff is what im worried about, because i dont want to waste my time on extensive work done to the chassis before the engine is put in.

I dont like turbocharging, because of the famous "turbo lag" for now i would just like a durable engine with a lot of horsepower at my hands "stock" without having to go to much trouble into installing new stuff to make it that "fast"

it wouldnt really cost me that much money because i already have a salesman who would sell me a H22A V-tec engine, exept its auto but its ok, i can buy a standard tranny for it. Im just wondering if the project is worth the time and effort, since right now im collecting money for a engine
