Default leakage on a manual trans 98 civic hx

I need to know where to fill/check the trans fluid on a manual 98 civic hx. I dont have a manual. Is it the little hollow tube on top with a rubber cap? Als othe reason for the fill is there is trans fluid slowly dripping from where the gear shift linkage enters the tranny. There is a boot but it drips out on the garage floor slowly over a few weeks. I was told there is a seal that can be replaced, so second question is, is it hard to change that seal? Any special tools needed to remove it?

Thanks,
Brian

My '95 Integra tranny has a vent tube kinda like you're describing. You can probably fill it there(??) but can't check it there.

If yours is the same, the fill/check plug is alongside the right axle. Look in thru the right fender, it's behind the axle, about the same level. It's a different size & looks different than the tranny case closure bolts.
