Default Diffrences between GM & Pennzoil Synchromesh??

I have heard everywhere that these 2 tranny fluids are the exact same thing, but the Pennziol cost me about $4.50 a quart, and the GM stuff ran about $10.50 a quart. If these 2 fluids are exactly the same & they're jacking up the GM stuff because of the brand, that's rediculous. Anyone have any details on the situation?? I know this would be better asked in a GM forum, but I know alot of ppl on here use both fluids in their trannys, and I'm definately not a member of any GM forums....

The pennzoil stuff is made to be a direct replacement for the GM part number. You're paying for the GM emblem.
