Help valves constantly need to be adjust!
I just adjusted my valves and then i drive my car for about 2 weeks or so and then the clicking noise from my head comes back again. Does anyone know why i have to continuesly have to readjust my valve? If anyone can help please let me know.

Yea im sure its from my head. I took it to get in to a mechanic and he said it was my valves and it needed to be adjusted. So after it was adjusted it stopped. But as i was driving it for about 2 weeks then the noise came back again. Also im just carious does anyone know if a honda dealer would fix a honda with sawp in it???

Excessive valve clearance is due to wear or carbon build up on the valve face. Wear between your cam and rocker arm, wear between your rocker arm and its shaft it rides on or carbon between the valve and its seat.. I suggest, if this actually concerns you, visit your local Honda dealer. They should be able to tell you what the problem is.. I know I could..
yea i took it to a guy that has a pretty good reputation with acura and honda but im not sure how he tigten the nuts on it. Also i was reading about it and isnt there a special tool used to tighten the nuts on the dohc motors instead of just using a wrench and a school driver?? We'll I was wondering if anyone knows if a honda dealer would work on a honda that has a motor sawp done to it?? Please let me know

EK9,, There might be the problem where the technician didnt tighten the locknut correctly,, that is a possibility. There is a tool that makes the job easier,, but its not a special tool.. a wrench and screwdriver will do the job correctly.. I Suggest returning to your repair shop, explain ing your problem.. They should recheck your clearances for free.. write me if they find Cyl#2 excessive..
The special tool for DOHC motors just makes it easier. Just imagine a really deep socket, with a handle attached so you don't need to use a ratchet. Then stick a screwdriver down the hole where the ratchet would have been.
The reason is that for DOHC VTEC heads, the adjustment is down between a bunch of stuff & there isn't enough room for a regular box wrench.
