Default VTEC solenoid- 5v or 12v?

Easy question, does the VTEC solenoid have a working on/off range of 0-5v or 0-12v?

That's what I was thinking, but considering other electronic parts are 0-5v (like the TPS and MAP) I wasn't sure. Thanks.
