Don't drive where you shouldn't be.
Don't park where you shouldn't be.
Don't make people mad for no reason.
Exercise a little sense when it comes to what strangers to get close to in public car scenes.
Don't act like the biggest, baddest, fastest, quickest, smartest...when everybody knows you're not. You're just going to piss people off and make a target of yourself.
Don't be a part of the cheap parts scene and don't associate with people who sell cheap parts.
Don't make the car the biggest part of your life. Don't make the car your raison d'etre because it is, after all, just a car, a material object, and it should not be the end of your life that a car has disappeared.
Well i Live in NYC, ITR are as rare as they can get. If its even spotted and you decide to stop for any reason. chances are your walking home. Its like a 100 dollar bill in the middle of a crowd . i got a couple of ideas. 1 - buy 2 pad locks. put one in the steering wheel column near the peddals. turn the steering wheel slightly there should be a hole there align it and lock it. put the other pad lock under the gas pedal. there should be a position where you can put the lock so that its locked, buy a column brace. dont waste money on a club its useless. Alarms with the pager! take your computer(ECU) with you. disable the door locks from the inside.use the keyless entry.tint windows. and like everyone said. Dont show off..
I'm as paranoid as anyone about my GSR, just ask my fiance, since I don't have theft insurance coverage. I was thinking about putting one of those Kryptonite U locks on my front wheel when it's parked in my driveway. It's visable and I don't think they'll get far if they try to drive it away.
I know they can be broken, but the noise that will make will wake me up since my bedroom window is next to my driveway.
As far as when it's not in my driveway, I agree with George. Use some caution. Park in well lit, populated areas, etc., since most thefts occur under the cover of darkness.

Leave a little sign on the dash that says:
Look around and you may see the red dot... Or
While your are thinking about my car i am trying to get a better shot, so look fast..
Or....
Don't mind the alarm its just to let me know that i need to kill one more ass Hole, today....
Yes i have actually seen these on dash boards around here, it is Texas and every body seems to carry a gun... A concealed hand gun licence is more common than a drivers licence down here..
umm i just watch where i park. i dont show off and try to stay modest and off to the side.... and act really nice around people even if i dont like them and if i feel uncomfortable some where i just leave. plus in kansas city there are few people that can tell the difference from a rs to a type r atleast the ones that come up to me and questions......
