Default b16a1 swap

I'm planning on getting a b16a1 for my 95 civic lx sedan. I have a d16z6 already in there and its pretty much gone and i really want this new engine. I just have a few questions about whats involved in the swap. First off, i already know that i'm going to need motor mounts, and most likely a new ecu, but will the harness mach up or will i need to get that as well? Next, will it match up with my old trans, or do i need to get a b16's tranny to mach up? Basically, i want to know how hard it is to swap because i don't want to be at this for weeks... Also, i want to know if my headers and cold air intake off the d16 will fit on the b16... i figured they would because there both 1.6's, but i want to make sure. Well anything you can do to help me out would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

wow...stop...put down the tools...and start reading for a good month before you attempt this swap...judging from your knowledge (no offense) or honda motors, their components and compatabilities I would hold off on that swap...but getting to your questions

A: there is no such thing as a b16a1
B:no your trans, and header will not mate up
C: you can have your ecu chipped or get the p30 ec
D: yes your CAI will mate up.
E: you will just swap your motor harness off of your d16 onto the b16
F: judging as said earlier by the lack of knowledge I would estimate a lot longer than a week to do the swap
G: you will need to replace your rear mount bracket with one from a GSR or 99 SI
H: if you order the b16a first gen you will have to either buy a hydro tranny for it, or get the cable to hydro conversion kit through HASport.
I have the b16a swap into my 95 dx, it took me around 2 months because I hopped on the train without knowing what I was really getting into, but I at least knew the basics of B and D series honda motors. I could prob do one now in a weekend, but dont think your first swap with limited knowledge is gonna be quick, painless, or easy.

ok, so when i order my engine, i should get engine, trans, ecu, and motor mounts and the rest i should already have or will work... right? Thats what i understand from the previous message, but i want to be sure that i have all the right parts before i start this... and for the record, my mech and i are doing the swap together... his garage and knowledge, and my willingness to learn, so i think it'll be a good first swap... but all that aside... i just want to make sure i have it all...

well...if you are ordering the first gen motor, the ecu will not work, but you can sell it on ebay or whatever and then order the p-30 ecu...also the trans WILL NOT work without the hasport conversion kit...other than that a set of integra mounts will sit the engine in there nicely, also you will need 99si or gsr shift linkage to make the swap work. I would also recomend GSR inter. shaft with GSR axles. I have done this swap so if you ever need any specific questions answered or you run into any problems just shoot me a pm mang...goodluck with your swap, and hopefully you can learn a lot like I did by doing my own swap....:goodjob:
