Check the ground on your radio. Make sure its in FULL CONTACT with metal.
Scrap some paint off if you have to.

Also might wanna check the sub ground as well.

This belongs in a different forum...specifically Audio & Security under Tech Forums.

As far as what Romeo said, he has a good idea on where to start.

could also be that ur amp doesn't have an "anti-thump" circuit either, I've never heard of a Concept amp.

It has to do with the remote on the amp.
If you wire up a relay from the remote,.. it'll gave the amp time to shut off/on when you turn your head unit off/on.
Rewire everything first and make sure your grounds are in tact.

first what is the sampling of your head unit? also are you sure it only makes thumps when you skip a track or etc? may be it does all the time but you don't hear it unless its quiet. or may be your subs or amp is damaged. trying playing something quiet with bass a listen for it.

once i tried to bridge a unbridgible amp, of course the amp was pos or i wouldn't of tried, but anyways yah it messed up the amp. the amp still turned on and everything it just made squeals and weerid sounds fromt he sub, which i never realized until i had a quiet song playing.

if you checked all your wiring and all your equipment, try swapping amps with a friend and see if it still does. as far as i know i wouldn't get a sony amp. sony has some good sound products but i wouldn't say amplifiers are one of them.

if it still does there could be somethign wrong with your head unit
