Hi everyone! I finally made the decision to switch to an Integra. My beautiful 97 Eclipse is on sale
but for the better. Integras are just more inspiring. My old lady is attached in case your wondering what she looks like. Well I'm lookin at a 94 GSR. Hes asking 4500 for it and there are 134000 miles. What offer should I give him? The body is in average condition. No dents, but the paint is in fair condition which can be touched up again.

That's low mileage for a 94. The GS-R's, in my humble (heavily biased towards GS-Rs) opinion, are the real workhorses of the Integra line. People ooh and ahh over the Type-R's, but it's really the GS-R that combines the best luxury and sport. Find out the mods if any, check for corrosion in the valleys beneath the lips for the hood and in the corners. If you can, take a look UNDER the car at the radiator mount, header, oil pan, etc. If it's been lowered, these are all common scraping points. If it's unmodded, that sounds like a good enough price, but obviously you should cross reference www.kbb.com . The parts for the 94-01 cars are pretty much all the same. Minor body differences between the 94-97 and the 98-01s.
You'll certainly be happier with the Honda reliability. Depending on how the car was modded, and how it was driven, you really shouldn't much to complain about in terms of wear and tear. Integras age well, and refreshing them back to factory condition isn't terribly difficult. As with all imports the prices are a bit expensive, although you'll benefit from the Gen III integras being in production for seven years.

There's a premium on GSRs because they're hard to find in the massive sea of all the RS/LS/GS models out there, not because it was in a movie.

I don't know what has posessed you to sell your 97 GSX but if you have modded it at all the integra is going to feel slow as poop. Maybe you don't care that much about accelleration and that's cool, but I would keep the GSX. It's a much better looking car, has a better resale value, and is faster and handles just as well as an integra. A friend of mine who has a 99 GSR drove my car (97 GST) and was amazed at how much faster my car was than his and got out with a huge smile on his face. Of course my car isn't stock but still even when it was it would walk a 2000 prelude easy. I still like hondas and acuras but the price to performance ratio on a DSM is so much better. Did you car get crankwalk or something and you're trying to pawn it off? Oh and one more thing: A GSR will be much more likely to be stolen than an eclipse, theives target GSRs like mad.
You might be surprised, but its not a GSX. Its an RS. I got all the body parts at the salvage yard and various forums. Its an GSX replica but w/o the 4G63 Turbo engine. Its a Chrysler 420A...
It sure gets looks though. I never race it, I just enjoy driving it and gettin looks. I guess some people don't need that crazy speed, but my brother already has a 97 Eclipse GST so whenever I wanna boost, its right in the garage.
I really want an Teg since the body style 3rd Gen I believe is very sleek but not overdone like on the 2G Eclipse/Talon. They look too much like a Viper rip off. I think Integras just have that CLASSY look. I'm really diggin that.

for 94' GSR in Fair condition w/ 134000 miles. It is completely stock. So should I offer $3000?
