metallic buzzing noise when start up /99 integra gs
I am new to the acura scene. I just purchased a 99 gs with only 18,000 miles on the car. I discovered when I start the car when the engine is cold, there is a metallic buzzing noise coming from I think on the right side of the engine. It only last the most about 10-15 secs. and it goes away. At first, I thought it was the heat shield, but the shield was found to be tight. I am at a lost. All functions on the car are normal. Is this normal for an Integra????

i don't know of the ABS system pressurizing for 10-15 seconds. Check the lower header bracket. its black and bolts from a tab on the collector to the block of the motor. mine was broken in half and the two pieces vibrated against each other. just a suggestion.

I will also take a look at my lower heatshield to see if it is loose. I doubt it because if it is the heat shield, wouldn't the buzzing noise be happening all the time? Thanks for the help
