Default Best Tranny Oil?

Hello all, New member here, and am very pleased with my recent purchase,
a 92 GS-R. I am planning on changing the tranny oil this weekend, and was
wondering what you guys recommended. I know what the books says, 10W30,
which is the same spec as Redline MTL, or should I just stick with Motor oil,
or use a Honda specific product.

Thanks in advance!

Honda is the cheap and durable stuff
Redline is the expensive and awesome stuff
GM Syncromesh is pinnacle!

HONDA MTF!!!

did little test on transmission long time ago after we swapped a motor.. feels smoother than redline, at least when it comes to gear engagement..

I would also recommend Honda MTF as your most economical choice.

Regular driving or road course? You can't go wrong w/Honda MTF in all honesty.

As far as the GM Syncromesh...be careful w/the hype around it.

I have the Pennzoil Synchromesh (same as GM Synchromesh) in my 91
MR-2 Turbo, which has a weak 3rd gear synchro. The problem has all
but vanished since I installed the synchromesh, but the MR-2 tranny calls
for a GL-5, the Honda a GL-4, so I'm reluctant to get the synchromesh in
the Integra for fear that it would be too thick a viscosity. Opinions?

ONLY honda MTF, gm syncromesh is just like those 'stop leak' products in my opionion, a way to mask real problems.

Redline is synthetic and will eat up your syncros much faster, and not allow them to engage as well.

Honda MTF is what most people will tell you is the best choice, it runs about 4 bucks a quart.
