Default Fujitsubo Power Getter vs. RM01A

Alright, this has been searched here and on HT, and nothing conclusive came up. To begin, is ANYONE running the Power Getter on an R? I know lots of people have the RM01A and are very pleased, but the PG is significantly cheaper and I'm poor, so I'm looking for some kind of comparison. Secondly, has anyone seen dynos for it against any other exhaust, regardless of the vehicle (as long as it's NA, not turbo, which I imagine would be an incomparable difference)? Lastly, does anyone have any completely subjective thoughts just from looking at it, as in how is the design, piping size (2.4" I believe), etc.

What it comes down to is this: is it worth saving a bit of money and getting a PG, or wait a few months and get an RM01A or the new SMSP setup? The car will be used for street/HPDEs, occasional autox. I'm looking for a decent improvement, but don't need the absolute best (ex: Hytech Twinloop).

If you want all out HP/midrange, get the SMSP. If you want polished S/S JDM, quietness, get the Fujitsubo. My RM01A should be here soon. You can ask RedKroovy23 how he likes his that I sold him a couple months ago.

I don't know anyone who has the Power Getter.. I've also wondered what the deal is with this exhaust compared to the RM-01A.

What about contacting Leo and password JDM? I swear he was going to get one, or had one, or knew a great deal about the PG.

Hope that helps...

Thanks, Victor. Finally stepping up to non-Spoon goodies I see, heh heh . The SMSP was another consideration if I were to go for the price range of the RM01A, and if the new one is at all like George's, the sound would be acceptable. I'm definitely looking for something that's not absurdly loud like the BC Spec III or something. Let me know when you get yours, I'd like to hear your impressions of it.

Thanks also, Chris, I'll get in touch with Leo and see if he knows what's up.

Ok, after talking to Leo (at least I think it was Leo; SN Password JDM on HT), this is the gist of it: The Power Getter is more of a top-end exhaust, wild the RM01A provides power both in the top-end and mid-range. As far as design goes, he also said the RM's MORE straight-through design was better (which is, I'm guessing, what's responsible for the wider powerband improvement). So I suppose until someone feels like throwing some money away and dyno testing the PG, that's as good of a comparison as we're gonna get.
