cruise control question
it appears that many of you are cruise control haters? well, for lazy people like myself, i find it useful...so i pose a question. my cruise control is not working correctly, when i press the necessary buttons to enable the cruise control, the only thing that happens is that the cruise control light on the gauge comes on, but no cruise control type driving is noticed..anyone know what could be wrong?

Cruise control is nice, who cares if ppl hate it on here. they aren't gonna hold down my gas pedal for me next long drive.
The first thing I would check is the brake switch and clutch pedal switch if you have a manual tranny. These two switchs will disable the CC if the pedal is depressed. Sometimes the adjustment of the switch will make the CC not work. Look under your pedals for the switch, apply the pedal and release it and see if the switch is being fully depressed. If it's not adjust it in more and you should be good to go.

you have to press the set button on the steering wheel. if that doesn't work, check you're throttle cable, fuses, and wiring. It could be a burned out module.
