Just the other day I noticed a slight miss when the V kicked in.
I checked over everything and noticed that I was two quarts low on oil! I about shat myself. I had just had a oil change around 1,700 miles ago. Upon refilling to the correct level of oil I have noticed that I am burning oil. I don't see any smoke, nor do my friends. Sometimes I do smell it....
I'm stumped. My DC2 is still under warrenty, but I would like to get your opinions before I take it in. Thanks.

Tristan.

What oil do you use? Mobil1 seems to burn in a number of these cars.

That's a bit much for only 1700 miles, unless you ran full throttle for the whole 1700

But you will find the R consumes more oil in between oil changes than lower performance cars. I have used nothing but Syntec since day one, an I consume about 1 quart between oil changes (3000miles or less),
being turboed doesn't help either.... My car only has 45000 miles, but has consumed since the first oil change.

In this case, I'd take it in. The dealer should fix that problems since 1qt in ~850 miles is "excessive".
