well i look down at my foot two days ago and there is a little swollen part on the left side of my left big toe there is a little dried blood along where my toe meets the skin. i talked to the doc and he said it might be the beginning of an ingrown toenail. so i have an appointment at 9AM on sat to see what he can do. the nurse said something about how he might have to spray some "really cold stuff" on my toe to numb it up then peel the skin back i dont know if im down for that. anyone ever had an ingrown toenail? care to share your experience?

 

I just had my left toe operated on because of hardcore ingrown toenails on tuesday. I have to go back in two weeks for my right foot

 

i've had them before, hurt like a sonofabitch. My doctor gave me 3 or 4 needles to freeze the toe, then he used a special tool to cut an 1/8" or so off the side of my toenail. So my toenail is permanently more narrow now, but no pain so :bigok:

 

ive had 5 done on each toe... the first times with novicane hurt but after that its not bad, i do them myself now, the shot hurtsmore than self surgury

self surgery? thats hella crazy.

 

yeah I used to dig it out by myself, but the pain grew to be too much...not to mention a doctor can fix it permanently rather than temporarily.
