Default first track experience

I went to the track this past tuesday, and raced for the first time. It was like me, my buddy, and 2 other guys with hondas, and the rest were all mustangs and camaros (yawn). Givin us funny looks, anyway....I was sorta disappointed with my time. I did the b16a2 swap into a 93 ex.

With CAI, and 4-1 header, I ran a best 16.4 1/4 mile with a 1.4 reaction time. I dunno, but I wasn't very happy, I need to be in the 14s to somewhat satisfied. We will see......I hope to do a thinner head gasket, and skunk2 stage 2 cams, along with retainers and springs, who knows then......

practice will help more than engine work could ever help (assuming you're driving a manual)

b16a2 is 160hp of raw power...jdm is 170

man no offense but either your mechanic is an idiot, the engine is screwed, or you shift like an old lady

Ya know, I didn't wire the knock sensor, but I never got a code for it.....could that really be causing all this even when there is not a code. I am using a JDM P30 ECU. and my idle is ****ed up as well.....
