According to my sources, your Civic should run a quarter mile in 16.6 seconds (give or take 1/10 of a second in either direction) and a ZX2 runs it in 16.3.....he should beat you unless he can't drive.

not necessarily...different motors respond to mods differently....a header, exhaust, and intake mite make way more power on the zx because of how restricive the OEM parts were....or vice versa.....if ya really need to know then you guys should take a drive to the local race track and have at it

unfortunately, I would think with the same mods, he would still be faster....and probably by a larger amount than in stock form. He's got a larger displacement engine than you, and a general rule (although not always the case) is that the larger the engine, the better gains you get from mods.

first: 3 tenths of a second is not enough to matter unless we are talking bracket cars... your tipical street car can really vary run to run.. so id say if its on the street whoever drives better will win... if its on the track he has a slight edge..

secondly: who cares really... no offense.. but, who careswho is faster when there are mini vans out there that could take you... theres NOTHING wrong with racing. or being proud of your car.. but racing two bone stock econo boxes is really kinda pointless..

unfortunelty there is no replacement for displacement...the zx does have a larger motor so even w/ the mods like I/H/E...I'd put my money on the zx2
