Default 99Si Owner, Couple of Questions...

Well I just purchased a 99 Si, Recently Stolen and stripped, got a hell of a deal for it though. Anyway. I was wondering what year honda parts are transferable on this year civic? As in would springs from a 5th Gen Work on the car. Would the Fuse Box from a 96+ civic work on the car, which doors would fit with no problems. Im pretty sure I can get most of the original 99-00 Si parts from somewhere, but I was just wondering if most other parts would work.

Thnx

im not quite sure on the 5th gen springs,..but i dont think they will work,..as for the fuse box,..yes a 96 + fusebox will work becuase even though some models didnt some with power locks or windows,..they still had fuse slots for em which were left empty (same with other power options),...as for doors,..any 6th gen door (96-00) would work,..but keep in mind not all 6th civics came with power locks and windows,..so if you want to retain those parts,..6th gen EXs came with them like SIs did,..and HX models came with them also if im not mistaken

Ok cool, thnx for replying, so basically I should be able to get some 96+ Ex Doors and Be able to fit them and the mounts on the frame with no problem? How about radiator support and what not? Ive been looking at the difference between the Si and the 96+ Ex stock and it seems to me the only MAIN difference is the motor. SO I would think that any parts from the 96+ would work just fine. Thanks again for any help provided.

I think you need a 99-00 radiator support since the front of the 99-00 civics are a little different than the 96-98. The doors will bolt up fine like Widebody said.

Hmm Interesting...That would make more sense, its hard to judge what can go on there and what cannot, I own also a 95 Civic Coupe, and the difference between the Generations is huge. Well for my knowledge base anyway.

Is there anything else you can think of off the top of your head that I would absolutley need to get as far as OEM parts for the Si? Or is the radiator support the only thing? Again I apoligize for the abudance of questions but im kind of at a lost with anything over a 95 civic

Thanks

Ahh cool cool, you guys know decent prices for doors here? I just got priced for a used door off a 97 Civic at 350$ with interior panel..electric..sound like a deal? So pretty much I really dont need anything from the Si essentially. Since all the parts seem to fit from 96+ civics? Sorry for the abudance of reacurring questions to a point, just trying to get all the facts.

Thanks Again
