Default Battery help

So, it's like, cold as balls here in MN...
My car starts, but the battery I have right now it weak sauce. It takes awhile to start, and everytime it's been sitting for more than a couple hours I start to worry that I'll be stranded.

Any battery reccomendations? I know Optima makes some good batteries, but they're a bit on the pricey side, although I haven't ruled that out as an option. Preferably, I'd like something under $100 with at least 700 or so CCA. Any ideas? Thanks! :wiggle:

I had that same problem until this morning when my battery just had no more left to give. I need to replace my battery also and was wondering if anyone has any comments on an Autocraft Titanium battery for $60.

I was thinking of just buying something from Wal-Mart but Advance Auto Parts stays open later so I'll have time after work to have them install for me. I looked at the Optima Red Top Battery and was wondering if the 50 dollar extra is worth it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would just stick the biggest rated battery can you fit in the slot. No less than 500 CCA (cold cranking amps) You don't need an Optima, they look nice, but I don't know if they are worth the price or not Any battery will do you fine, but make sure it has at least a three year warranty on it.

G/L guys!!

Got a new battery last night. Only had a 2 year warranty with like 435 cca but thats all they had available for my Civic. Cost me bout 50 bucks. My only other option was an Optima Yellow for 120 but they didn't have that in stock anyways. This battery beats my OEM one with 410 cca! = )

If you really look hard you can find a battery that has a CCA rating of 700 or more... I have heard that certain drycell batteries are very good in cold conditions like optima and such, but I have yet to try them, im at the beach and my exide is fine for me =D

Yah, Like Honura said, you are limited unless you want to run cables to somewhere else, but then you run into voltage drop and wire size, mounting points, etc. The battery should be close to the same physical size as the original. Any wider or longer and it won't fit into the tray. Any taller and it will hit the hood once, make some cool sparks and ruin your whole day.
