Default Good Trade

Hi,
I havent been on here for a while, but heres the deal.I have someone that offered me a 1992 civic si hatch, with a gsr swap and revhard turbo. The car looks pretty nice.Im not sure mileage although looks good from pics.My car is a 1998 civic ex coupe, has 100,000 mile warranty and about 3k in parts. Its nice but not that quick.I think he may offer me money as well for the car,but im not sure what his car would go for?I have mine for 8900 on autotrader.

It's shakey. I don't think I would trust anyone else's work, but that's just me.

I'd love to have a 5th gen hatch.

What does it run in the 1/4 and what's the hp?

not sure power my guess is around 220 or so,not sure.He only told me that it did the quarter around 110 or something. So im not sure what too think...im kinda thinking ,why would he trade for a relatively stock car if he has this car.

Well i can tell by looking at it, it doesn't have a/c and either he swapped out the intake manifold or it's not a real GSR. Also, I would check for leaks and anything like that. If you can... sneak in a compression test.

:werd: that intake mani caught my eye right away, I dunno if I would trust somebody elses turbo project...who knows how high he turned the boost before trading it to you, or how hard he ragged on the motor....I would look for somethin else.

I'm with everyone else here, I wouldn't trade for someone elses project let alone someone elses turbo project. The only thing I would trust in a trade would be a stock never-been-tuned set up.

Before I started building my car, I had someone who I trust that wanted to trade me his ls/vtec with a bunch of goodies for my car with a blown motor plus some cash because he was in a tight spot and needed the money. I could have jumped on it and had a fully built fast car but where's the fun in that? Plus like b16aEGcivic said... who knows what this car and motor have been through?
