Default B18B w/ Si tranny?

Hey this guy I know is selling a B18B with Si tranny for pretty cheap. The thing is, in the longrun I wanted turbo (but this is in the long run) and i heard the LS tranny is good for turbo....

Is the B16 tranny crappy when its paired up w/ the B18B? and Do you think i'd be okay using it for a while until I decide 2 sell it and buy an LS tranny when Im ready for turbo?

honestly i dont know much so fill me in guys, thanks.

oh yeah, and what mounts would i need to put the B18B in an EK?

annd.... what exhaust would i use if I swapped the motor... I do have a stock LS exhaust, I dont know if that'd work w/ my car....

and what key things should I make sure the motor comes w/ to make it a complete swap, so i wouldn't have to go out and buy stuff

i would prefer the shorter gears of the Si transmission, but its really a matter of preference. The Si gears are the same as ITR (the shortest available), and will probably be too short for turbo, but the gsr and LS transmissions are both good turbo candidates.

holy edit, batman! As for the exhaust, just go with a decent aftermarket exhaust for the EK. Si mounts will do the trick, but I think any 94+ teg mounts should too (I know they work on the EG).

Make sure you get the shift linkages, axles and int. shaft, ECU, mounts, and check to see that the clutch is in good shape, and while the motors out, replace the t-belt and tensioner

SI tranny=all motor
GSR/LS tranny=turbo

you can always sell the SI tranny and buy the LS tranny. SI tranny will sell for a lot more then the LS.

You'll need a Si rear mount and probably a Si power steering pump (we needed one for a JDM engine). The other mounts can come from the donor car.

If your car has the cat in the header, then you might need a new downpipe to bolt up, and you'll need a cat to pass inspection.
