Default Had a simple question

Im trying to get some Civic type r pistons, but dont know what the difference is in the .25 oversized bore and non oversized. Im trying to put these into my b16 00 Si Motor.

the difference is the .25 oversized is....*gasp*... .25mm bigger than the non oversized.

i ment difference in regards to, what do i get out of getting that extra .25 bore.

well you'd have to re-bore the stock cylinders to get the .25 to fit. so thats one of the advantages, a fresh bore.

More displacment. They sell a .5 overbore too, I believe.

Yup, I have a 305 CI in my Trans Am bored out to a 315 CI.

Interesting fact. In the old John Deere tractors they would bore it out .060", then .120", then resleeve the engine and start with 0 again.

If your bloack has low miles, there is no scoring on the cylinder walls, etc, you should be able to get away with the stock bore without a problem. If you can afford the down time to have it bored, do it. You'll thank yourself later.

Will the .25bore give me more power? My engine has 33k miles on it, should i go for the .25bore or no bore for the ctr pistons?

I work for a Honda dealership so if i do anything its pretty much easy to do with help from mechs.
