Default trouble after 75mph

aight, at speeds faster then 75mph my steering gets maddd loose and shaky, it feels like it could lose control @ any minute..

its a 95 GSR/ 2dr/5spd--could it be alignment or the snow tires i put on (i think theyre blizzaks)?

Most likely the snow tires, cause you're not supposed to go much over 65 in them, if my memory serves me right, but if you're car's fine while maintaining the speed limit, I say drive legally and wait to see if it happens when you put your summer tires back on...

speed rating is dependant on the tire. wildredeye, can you tell us the exact tire that you're riding on and the speed rating stamped onto it? i doubt it's even below Q (99mph). i'm thinking you need either a balance, alignment, or both.

Yeah all the winter tires I've driven on (Blizzaks and Alpins) ride fine up to at least 90 although they make a slight whistling noise on wet ground. I would guess alignment or wheel balance as well.

Jack up your car and check your suspension components. Sounds like you have symptoms of bad tie rod ends.

Bend rim, or bad balanced tyres, check ur tire psi. Speed rating of the tyres wouldn't do that, i got winter tyres and do 180km/h on them often.
