Default 1988 integra ls

engine blown, need help,
can a newer genberation integra engijne and trans be put in place of the zc engine and trans in a 1988 or older integra
i have seen engine swaps but for newer cars only,
and what if i keep the current trans, what engines will work from what cars.

help i need my little daily cruisder back on the road

First, your engine is not a ZC unless someone swapped one in. The stock engine is a D16A1, similar, but not the same.

90+ engines cannot be swapped in without a mount kit, custom linkage, custom axles, and some rewiring. It gets pretty expensive, but isn't too hard for an '88.

thanks all for the help, guess i'll stay stock, have to figure out how i can get some more power, and still keep the little engine in it.
