Best HBO series!!! I read the book so I got the DVD set today. On the second half of the first DVD.

They have interviews and stuff on the bonus features CD, and I actually know (or, have met and see regularly) one of the first guys that talks. I don't think he was represented in the series, but obviously, he was in the unit.

also, you can't really compare a mini series and a series...

if you wanted to compare Carnivale with BOB you could... but something like the Saprano's and BOB just doesn't work.

Started to... never could get into it.

I thought I would be able to get into Carnivale' as well... since... it pretty much centers around a lot of things I'm into. But I can't. :sad:

 

I beg to differ. Band of Brothers is probably the best TV mini-series I have EVER seen. My room mate and I own many, (Stargate SG-1 (three seasons), Taken, Buffy, Angel, 24 (two seasons), The Shield...) and I was very impressed with the level of detail, as well as the story line. Tom Hanks did an impressive job producing it and I must say that my favorite episode was the one he directed, Crossroads. If you can find the time to get into it again, I'd encourage you to do so.
