I got an AvantGuard 4 alarm thats going on my Integra...
I want to figure out what I have protected and where I need more protection.
AG4:
Digital Dual-Zone Proximity Sensor - Remotely Adjustable Dual-Zone Proximity Sensor 4 detects movement in passenger compartment and outside windows
Digital Dual-Zone Tilt Sensor - Detects any forward/reverse motion or more than one degree lifting of the vehicle
Digital Omnisensor - What does this do???


Should I get any of the following:

Dual-Zone Vibration/Impact Sensor
Glass Break Sensor

The dual stage omnisensor is similar to the dual zone Piezo sensor. The dual zone Piezo sensor has dual sensing levels that distinguish between an attemted break in and a slight impact on your car. If someone bumps your car with their door, the alarm will chirp, if the alarm detects a forced entry, the alarm will go off. The omni sensor is the same but it has cliffords DSP(digital signal processing) algorithms to better detect when your car is genuinely threatened. I love clifford's line of alarms, their options are so sweet. I say get the glass break sensor too, it will detect even vibration-less attempts to break the glass. No spring loaded punch window breaking without the alarm going off here:thumbup:

 

what do you mean between clifford and dei alarms? dei owns clifford.

a SHOCK sensor will detect VIBRATION-LESS attempts to break the glass? if it doesn't vibrate then there's no shock right? so how is a SHOCK sensor gonna detect that?

 

what i meant is THE THING THAT DETECTS VIBRATION, LIKE SOMEONE (for example) PUNCHING THE FENDER, (IMO..)its damn near impossible to brake a window with no vibrarion/shock.

 

yeah, but where there's a will, there's a way. Ever heard of a spring loaded punch and some duct tape?
